Shadows of Wunderland at COVE Join COVE for its final trip down the rabbit hole here in Pinellas Arts Village! They will have a new Wunderland inspired curated group show featuring a diverse group of the Bay Area creatives! They will be illustrating their favorite character, scene etc of this timeless tale. Exhibition Opening: Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney at Museum of Fine Arts  From the sumptuous productions of the Ballets Russes, to the riotous spectacle of avant-garde theatre, to Robert Indiana’s Pop vision for an American opera, "Art of the Stage" seductively reflects the grand history of Western art from the vantage point of the stage. This exhibition draws from the Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts, noted for its holdings of works by major painters who also designed for the stage. Inside the World of Public Art at Florida Craft Art  This exhibit displays the exuberant spirit and creative diversity of public art that enhances the cultural life of our community. Eight artists who use fine craft techniques to create monumental public artwork in the Tampa Bay area are profiled, along with their smaller fine craft studio work. 5:30-7:30pm. An Evening of Ira Glass at The Mahaffey Ira Glass is the creator, producer & host of This American Life, the iconic weekly public radio program with millions of listeners around the world. Using audio clips, music, and video, Ira Glass delivers a unique talk; sharing lessons from his life and career in storytelling: What inspires him to create? What drives his passion? SUNDAY

The Florida Orchestra Takeover of The Museum of Fine Arts  The Museum of Fine Arts' first collaboration is with The Florida Orchestra, in presenting a series of musical events inspired by Art of the Stage. During this event, The Florida Orchestra will entertain visitors with multiple performances throughout the museum. The exhibit celebrates artists from Picasso to Hockney who have contributed to the innovation of costume, set, and stage design. 12:30-4pm. Florida Stories: A Literary Series at Weedon Island Preserve  Join Weedon Island Preserve for "Florida Stories", a literary series that introduces readers to the authors and histories behind their favorite tales of Florida. Each author in this series will discuss their work listed below and the inspiration behind it. 1pm. Weedon Island, 1800 Weedon Drive Northeast.



Uncle John's Band at The Ale and The Witch  The Ale and the Witch turns 9 years old as back on this day on 1/26/11 the Witch opened their doors for the very first time.
