Shadows of Wunderland at COVE Join COVE for its final trip down the rabbit hole here in Pinellas Arts Village! They will have a new Wunderland inspired curated group show featuring a diverse group of the Bay Area creatives! They will be illustrating their favorite character, scene etc of this timeless tale. Exhibition Opening: Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney at Museum of Fine Arts From the sumptuous productions of the Ballets Russes, to the riotous spectacle of avant-garde theatre, to Robert Indiana’s Pop vision for an American opera, "Art of the Stage" seductively reflects the grand history of Western art from the vantage point of the stage. This exhibition draws from the Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts, noted for its holdings of works by major painters who also designed for the stage. Inside the World of Public Art at Florida Craft Art This exhibit displays the exuberant spirit and creative diversity of public art that enhances the cultural life of our community. The Florida Orchestra Takeover of The Museum of Fine Arts The Museum of Fine Arts' first collaboration is with The Florida Orchestra, in presenting a series of musical events inspired by Art of the Stage. During this event, The Florida Orchestra will entertain visitors with multiple performances throughout the museum. The exhibit celebrates artists from Picasso to Hockney who have contributed to the innovation of costume, set, and stage design. 12:30-4pm. Free with Museum admission. Full details HERE.
